I just wanted to add this little drawing in the mix to celebrate World Rhino Day 2018.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to really get to work and produce a full size portrait of one of these animals. I think that way you might get to feel the full power and presence of a rhino. Only thing is, I’m not sure it would stand still long enough.
The mournful expression of a rhinoceros always seems to me as if they have the world’s problems on their shoulders. Perhaps, in a manner of speaking they do. Poor things. Let’s all do our bit to look after them.
I must admit, I do like looking at their ears!
I really like this! I think you captured the character well. The rhino looks solid π

Many thanks. Yes, they are heavy things, I did try to emphasise the weight that those poor little legs have to carry around. π

I realized that they have Shrekβs ears. Such a layered character.

Hi, thanks for asking. Difficult to answer, but metaphorically speaking I felt like I was a bit of a caterpillar and want to be more, so I have gone into a chrysalis in the hope of coming out a butterfly. More likely a tortoise whose poked his head in his shell and when he emerges life will carry on just as before. Hopefully things will start moving very soon! Andy
